Telstra notable non-announcement of Note8 plans ‘soon’, pre-order from 5 Sept

By

Telstra’s pre-orders for the Note8 start much later than the 25 August date mentioned by Samsung Australia, with its plans and pricing to be announced “soon.”

Telstra will offer Samsung’s new Note8 smartphone via pre-order from 5 September, a couple of weeks after Amaysim, Vodafone and Samsung itself start pre-orders tomorrow.

The 800-pound Australian telcorilla states that, to cater for its “customers’ growing appetite for mobile data and streaming their favourite music and entertainment on their smartphones”, it will “soon be introducing its new mobile plans that put the spotlight on data and entertainment".

Naturally, Telstra states its new plans “will deliver the same unrivalled network experience and 4G coverage our customers have come to expect from Telstra".

The plans will include “all the great extras exclusively available to Telstra mobile customers like unlimited Wi-Fi at over one million Telstra Air hotspots around Australia and 20 million Fon hotspots worldwide, 200GB of OneDrive cloud storage, and unmetered streaming of Apple Music and every AFL, NRL and netball game this season".

Unfortunately, details of those new plans, including pricing and availability, are not being announced today, but will only be “announced soon".

So, Telstra’s announcement that it will be announcing its Note8 pricing and plans announcement will soon be announced.

Until then, Telstra’s announcement is somewhat disappointing, so if you were hoping for more, that’s it – Telstra has slammed down the phone on giving you more details as yet, so if you want to know more, you’ve been left hanging.

We’ll dial up another article when Telstra deems itself ready to connect with customers with more information. I just hope they don’t phone in the details.
