ASUS ROG 4K gaming notebook – for everyone

By

If you want a 15.6”, 4K notebook with all the go-fast goodies and flashing lights, ASUS’s Republic of Gamers (ROG) Strix GL502VT is a natural choice.

ASUS has released a highly specified, compact, 15.6” gaming notebook. The $2699 GL502VT has almost everything except the kitchen sink.

It is hard to know where to start – except to say that it has Intel Core i7 CPU; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M GPU; M.2 NVMe PCIe x 4 SSD; and a superb 15.6” 4K, 3840 x 2160 IPS LED/LCD screen.

Strix is the newest member of the Republic of Gamers family; it features bold designs and bright colours. It embodies ROG’s premier performance, innovative technology, and leading quality and equips players with the necessary speed and agility to dominate their game.

But ASUS has made more than a gaming laptop; it is suitable for all consumers seeking quality hardware, better graphics, and smooth computing from a lightweight powerhouse.

The screen has a 178° viewing angle, 98% Adobe RGB and 100% SRGB – it is one of the best. The CPU and GPU have heat pipe “Duo-Copper” cooling suitable for intense gaming marathons. It uses DDR4 memory.

It has USB-C (3.1), Mini DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB 3.0 ports. A SATA 2TB 2.5” hard disk is available in addition to the superfast NVMe SSD.

Gamers (and typists) will appreciate the 1.6mm throw, scissor switch, keyboard for tactile and positive keystrokes. It is "red" backlit for low light conditions.

Audio is by ICEPOWER and dual array microphones selectively filter out ambient noise.

ASUS provides ROG gaming centre to monitor all system information and to set up four profiles (Optimization, Game, Media Streaming, and File Sharing).

ENABLE HYBRID CLOUD & REDUCE NETWORK LATENCY WHITEPAPER

Hybrid cloud promises to bring together the best of both worlds enabling businesses to combine the scalability and cost-effectiveness of the cloud with the performance and control that you can get from your on-premise infrastructure.

Reducing WAN latency is one of the biggest issues with hybrid cloud performance. Taking advantage of compression and data deduplication can reduce your network latency.

Research firm, Markets and Markets, predicted that the hybrid cloud market size is expected to grow from US$38.27 billion in 2017 to US$97.64 billion by 2023.

Colocation facilities provide many of the benefits of having your servers in the cloud while still maintaining physical control of your systems.

Cloud adjacency provided by colocation facilities can enable you to leverage their low latency high bandwidth connections to the cloud as well as providing a solid connection back to your on-premises corporate network.
