Hisense has rolled out its own range of affordable yet stunning 4K televisions, using ULED technology and its F1 Red Bull sponsorship to capture public imagination - and sales.

Top 3 TV brand in Australia, Hisense, doesn’t just want pole position in the race to capture the public’s attention with its new 2016 range of 4K televisions, the company is looking to seriously challenge its Korean and other competitors in the race to win the hearts, minds and wallets of Australian and global consumers.

With Samsung’s ads pushing hard the notion that it’s time to ‘Upgrade Now,’ and LG pumping its 4K OLED HDR with Dolby Vision technology for all its worth, Hisense is hoping to overtake with some classy televisions of its own, even though the battle for supremacy is, understandably, fierce.

Now, following up from its announcement at the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas, Hisense has launched its most advanced television technology down under, stating that it is ‘bringing Hisense 4K ULED TV the next evolution of television to “U”, the customer.’

Hisense is a top Chinese brand, and is launching this latest innovation globally rolling out across China, Europe, America and South Africa, with Australians first to see the 2016 Hisense range in stores from amongst all these global regions.

In front of Hisense’s stunning ‘4K screen sculpture,’ as you’ll see in the launch video below, Hisense is confident it can ‘deliver a masterpiece in picture quality through 17 international patents to enhance colour, contrast, resolution and motion using a combination of advanced hardware and software.’

Chris Porter, Hisense’s Director of Product Management at the company’s US headquarters flew to Australia to explain and launch the new technology in the new ULED Series 7 model, being released first in Australia and available in stores from May.

Porter said: “I am very excited to be in Australia for the launch of the Hisense ULED Series 7, 4K Ultra LED Smart TV.

“The Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne is the perfect backdrop for success in our mission to make Hisense the number one consumer product brand in Australia.”

Hisense said its new ‘4K ULED TV technology + HDR’ will first be available in select sizes from May in the U LED Series 7, with sizes range from 50in, 55in, 65in 70in all the way to 75in.

Hisense TV guru Chris Porter spoke with me at the launch event - it became a little noisy with the event about to ramp up, so we had to cut it shorter than we’d planned, but here you go - full pricing is below.

Hisense said its 4K ULED TV technology will be available from May on the 55-inch flat screen and later (but not too much later) in 50-, 65- and 70-inch sizes, and later this year in 75-inches.

Here’s a video recorded at the launch event showing the 4K video demo reel on a 55-inch 4K Hisense ULED TV. Yes, the video is only in 720P rather than in 4K, but you will get the idea and can see for yourself in stores soon enough the clarity of the image, the blacks and the colours.
