Fusia licenses wireless switching to Hutchison

Fusia Limited (ASX: FUS) has announced that its subsidiary MobiData Group Pty Ltd has developed and licensed to Hutchison 3G Australia Pty Limited (Hutchison), a switching application allowing Hutchison's 3G customers to gain access to the Internet, in addition to Hutchison's "3" Services.

MobiData Group believes that its switching technology will be a valuable addition to mobilenetworks world wide and plans to market the switch accordingly. Over the coming weeks, MobiData Group plans to begin a commercial trial of its synchronisation server which the company claims enables users to wirelessly manage and backup their mobile phone from anywhere in the world.

On 24 September 2004, Fusia announced the conditional acquisition of 100% of MobiData Group. A notice of meeting of shareholders to consider this acquisition will be issued to shareholders shortly.
