Bulletproof signs partnership with Sitecore

Aussie cloud services provider Bulletproof has announced a strategic partnership with Sitecore, a global leader in customer experience management software.

Bulletproof will offer Sitecore customers and developers access to its Bulletproof Support, meaning enterprise organisations will have access to Bulletproof's high availability, performance and security offerings.

The company said in a statement that the deal with Sitecore will build on "Bulletproof’s promise to further expand its products and services for customers and partners."

Bulletproof also recently announced the completion of its listing on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), becoming Australia’s first listed, pure-play cloud services company.

The company also told iTWire it was the first and only Sitecore hosting partner globally with an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Premier Consulting Partner certification.

"It's a pretty exciting one for us, obviously it's been a busy time since the listing but for the first time we've signed a partnership with an applications vendor, being Sitecore, who are one of the world leaders in customer experience management," Bulletproof's Chief Customer Officer Mark Randall told iTWire in an interview.

"Really for us it follows a number of significant projects that we'd done around the Sitecore platform for a number of years, with companies like the Sydney Airport, Tourism Victoria and Network Ten. As a result of some of those projects we've seen a lot of our customers that have been happy with the Bulletproof support that we've been delivering but really wanting us to do a little bit more, and move further into the application layer. And where they have mission critical applications that they're running in the cloud, they've been looking for us to have an element of knowledge and understanding so we can give advice and recommendations on how to optimise that cloud environment for that particular application.

And given Sitecore is clearly one of the leaders in the CRS space, we've been talking to them for some months about becoming a partner. And the announcement is the formal notification of that, and follows a number of things that we've done over recent months, including having some of our support team get trained up as Sitecore system administrators and security administrators. And one of the key things that we're looking to do is make it easier for web developers that design sites around the Sitecore platform to deploy those in the cloud without worrying about 'how do I get Sitecore to work in the cloud and how do I get it to be secure and highly available.' We solve that by optimising the cloud environment and deploying a specific reference architecture for Sitecore that allows those developers to concentrate on developing the site, and not worry about anything else.

Owen Brandt, Alliance Director, Sitecore, said, ”Bulletproof is a strategic fit because it has robust technology, excellent technical skills, strong geographical coverage and established winning relationships with Sitecore customers.

"This partnership will be a win-win for both Sitecore and Bulletproof as it will allow our customers to optimise their potential for digital business in the midst of dynamic change in customer experience expectation.”

Security requirements such as confidentiality, integrity and authentication have become mandatory in most industries.

Data encryption methods previously used only by military and intelligence services have become common practice in all data transfer networks across all platforms, in all industries where information is sensitive and vital (financial and government institutions, critical infrastructure, data centres, and service providers).
