'With the recent Operation Aurora attack, more organisations are looking to MSSPs that offer integrated solutions to protect from both inbound and outbound threats and thwart attacks from today's modern, blended threats,' said Rob Ayoub, Industry Manager, Network Security Technologies for Frost & Sullivan. 'The Websense TRITON unified security architecture protects against dynamic, blended threats while lowering the total cost of ownership.'
The Websense MSSP program is designed to facilitate more effective end-user adoption of the recently announced Websense TRITON <http://www.websense.com/triton?cmpid=prnr> system. TRITON is the industry's first unified content security solution that combines leading Web security gateway, data loss prevention and email security technology into a single, unified architecture. This architecture and system is positioned as a leading solution set by multiple, independent analyst firms <http://www.websense.com/content/gartner-magic-quadrant-for-secure-web-gateway.aspx?cmpid=prnr> .
The Websense MSSP program rollout is available for select service providers that meet Websense minimum criteria in technical competency, services capacity and investment in joint core business on an invitation-only basis. Websense is enabling these MSSPs with the best practices, an integrated solution framework, services delivery platform, certification, training, and sales enablement resources to cost effectively deploy enterprise wide protection. The program's service delivery framework includes managed Web and DLP content security services for customer on-premise equipment, as well as white-label branding options for Websense and unified security software-as-a-services (SaaS) for Web and email.
At present, several leading MSSPs utilise Websense products, including IBM, Integralis and BEW Global who cover more than 20 customers globally. Each program participant is enabled to deliver a comprehensive set of managed services ranging from managed Web filtering and security, Web security gateway, and DLP managed security services. Websense is actively working with segment leaders and their Secure Web Gateway MSSP programs with plans to expand its MSSP solution offerings and additional MSSPs who meet the program criteria later in 2010.
'Following on the heels of the announcement of our TRITON unified content security solution, the new Websense global MSSP program gives customers the best unified security solution on the market today and, now, the ability to have a fully trained team to help enable implementation and ongoing support - realising a quicker ROI and lower cost of ownership,' said David Brophy, Senior Marketing Manager - ANZ, Websense. 'As evidenced by segment leaders driving targeted Web security managed service offerings, Websense and our industry leading MSSP program participants are clearly seeing the global need to better enable customers to deploy and manage Web and content security solutions to address today's modern threats. As a channel-focused company, Websense is dedicated to partner and customer success.'
