THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., April 20, 2011 -- Nexsan®, a leading independent provider of disk-based storage systems, today announced that it will participate in a series of VMware User Group (VMUG) seminars throughout 2011. Beginning on May 5th in Charlotte, North Carolina, Nexsan will demonstrate how to achieve significant operational advantages using storage aligned for virtual environments to increase information availability while reducing capital and operational expenses.

From business professionals to information technology leaders, the quest for more economical operations is changing the way IT is being called on to support the bottom line. More than ever before, mid-market organizations are being tasked with finding efficiencies that optimize available resources. Virtualization technologies have proven to be a staple of that objective, with the major benefit being resource consolidation for maximum utilization of technology investments.

Nexsan's Flexible Storage Platformâ„¢ is designed to consolidate multiple server and storage systems into a single infrastructure, providing a host of powerful replication, virtualization, data migration and mirroring capabilities. An ideal complement to virtualized environments, Nexsan delivers the performance, enterprise-class reliability, and capacity for the most demanding production environments. All Nexsan storage systems, including the new Nexsan E-Seriesâ„¢ provide significant space, energy and cost savings, making them the smart choice for virtual machine-based applications in medium-sized businesses and mid-tier deployments in large organizations.

'Overlooking the importance of having storage hardware aligned with the virtualized operating environment can result in the loss of virtualization's promised business benefits,' said Victoria Grey, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Nexsan. 'Nexsan's Flexible Storage Platform provides IT departments with the right mix of performance and capacity that is easily manageable and highly scalable for seamless operation and expansion when needed.'

Nexsan will showcase its full line of VMware certified storage systems at the VMware User Group seminars. At each event, attendees will have the opportunity to learn best practices in deploying storage in virtualized environments as well as the latest storage system technology by registering to attend these VMware User Group seminars at https://bit.ly/c26qfO.
