The ASEAN Opportunity in 2010
Ralph Ede, GN Netcom noted, 'Industry watchers and experts assess the Asean UC opportunity to be almost as huge as India. Likewise, we see good reason to be bullish about Asean prospects particularly as GN Netcom grew by a striking 30% in India last year. Individual markets in Asean may be adopting UC platforms at different rates, but what's certain is that with the economic upturn organizations are seriously reviewing workplace strategies for breakthrough improvements in business communications, efficiency and competitiveness. GN Netcom is committing greater resources to hasten market penetration in key verticals, especially banking institutions, which are turning to UC solutions to achieve this.'

GN Netcom recently opened a new office in Bangkok, Thailand to serve the markets of Thailand and Vietnam where demand for Jabra enterprise and contact centre products grew sharply last year. A major driver has been the adoption of voice communications and collaboration solutions by larger enterprises to address rising expectations of customers, as well as improve business competitiveness.'

In fast-paced commercial centres with advanced triple-play services such as Singapore, where voice telephony, wireless mobile, high-speed internet access have become fairly common applications, GN Netcom's focus is on accelerating the roll-out of Jabra premium UC-offerings to enterprise and office market segments.
