Evolven Software Inc., the pioneer of breakthrough configuration management solutions for the modern data center and enterprise cloud, today announced that CEO and Founder Sasha Gilenson is an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011 New Jersey Award finalist. According to Ernst & Young LLP, the awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Sasha Gilenson was selected as a finalist from nearly 50 nominations by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on June 23,2011 at the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe.
Gilenson pushed forward a provocative vision, showing a contrarian approach for handling changes in the modern data center and cloud that can result in tremendous savings and opportunities for enterprises.
"It is certainly an honor to be named as a finalist in such a prestigious awards program. Throughout our organization the entrepreneurial spirit drives our achievements. I truly believe this distinction is a result of the entire team at Evolven, who through their commitment to excellence and outstanding performance, has enabled us to achieve the results that gain this kind of attention,' said Sasha Gilenson, CEO and Founder of Evolven. "This feeling has been essential for developing Evolven's breakthrough configuration analytics that allow enterprises to drive ongoing and constant change while maintaining firm control.'
The new rise of disruptive technology platforms, like Cloud, literally changes everything for enterprise IT management, making existing tools outdated. Addressing the new requirements, Evolven's breakthrough configuration analytics solution drives change while maintaining control. Evolven provides the only configuration management solution that dynamically analyzes IT environment configuration data and delivers actionable information, allowing enterprises to reduce risk and enhance visibility of their critical IT operations.
Over a 13 year tenure at Mercury, Sasha observed how enterprises were frustrated with critical business systems going down or underperforming. He saw repeatedly how gaps in IT operations created problems that no technology filled, then approached this from a new perspective. Advising numerous Fortune 500 companies, Sasha identified how the industry was taking the wrong approach and pursued his contrarian ideas by founding Evolven. Facing adversity and overcoming obstacles, he raised the initial funding for Evolven, despite facing skepticism and doubt from many, and proposed a daring new approach for addressing the growing complexity challenging IT departments.
