Hunter Street, B & G Medical Centre based in Sydney's North Shore suburb of Hornsby; is a medical practice providing community-based health care services in the Hornsby area for more than ten years. The medical centre provides services in general practice, skin cancer and dermatology, surgery-free vein treatments (sclerotherapy), back clinic, pathology, physiotherapy, dietetics, counselling, acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. B & G Medical is owned and operated by Dr Taciano Bantatua Jr. and Dr Marita Garcia-Bantatua.
B & G Medical recently decided to replace their aging Commander PBX system with a new VoIP IP-PBX solution from specialist VoIP provider, RazorTEL Communications. Issues with the existing system included; poor sound quality, limited functionality and no integration options with their upcoming expansion plans to open a full service medical practice (MedicAus Sydney Health Care) in the Philippines.
MedicAus Sydney Healthcare is based in SM City Calamba, Laguna which is about ninety minutes drive South of Manila. It opened for business on 21 November 2011. MedicAus clinical services include; general medical, ambulatory surgery, cosmetic surgery, in house-pharmacy, pathology and X-ray services. In the very near future, it will also provide home care services to qualified clients. MedicAus clinical director is Dr. Deo del Rosario
One of the 'must have' requirements stated by Dr Bantatua was reliable, easy to use, low or no-cost communication services between the two medical centres. The need for regular contact was stressed as important to the doctors and medical support staff in both centres.
Dr Bantatua said; 'we could see the immediate cost benefits of going VoIP, and had no hesitation selecting RazorTEL as our partner given their vast experience installing VoIP systems in Australia and the Philippines for their call centre clients.
What made it an easier decision for us was RazorTEL's unique, ViBE QoS technology which connects our two clinics together via the Internet and provides us with scalable, high quality voice trunks comparable to international toll lines but, at no per-call and no per minute costs in either direction.'
Dr Bantatua also said; 'It made sense to deploy the same VoIP telephone technology in both locations to accelerate the learning curve across both clinics and across all of our staff. And as the doctor's regularly travel between both clinics reducing our need to travel whilst expanding our ability to maintain contact with each other is a big bonus for our team.
Now with the new systems in place we plan to offer more specialist services such as cosmetic and plastic surgery to our Australian clients as part of our travel tourism package and provide both pre and post-operative support services with local and national Australian phone numbers into both clinics.
Because of RazorTEL's unique solution we were able to accelerate our VoIP technology adoption and get both of our clinics phone systems up and operational quickly and benefit from reduced call costs across our local calls, mobiles and international call connections.
With desk to desk and desk to mobile and local landline dialing, between both countries we have been able to realize the operational gains and efficiencies of VoIP as well as the other cost saving ROI benefits back into our business, immediately!'
