Although Telstra has its $89 plan offering no-added cost roaming to dozens of countries, along with 2GB to use per 30 days, as well as no 90-day roaming limit, Vodafone still has an awesome deal.
This is also despite the fact Telstra's $199 plan, which includes your phone of choice, bumps that 2GB up to 10GB.
The thing is, though, that Vodafone lets you use your entire data balance while overseas in a roaming country, so in my case, I am in San Francisco as I type this, and I can use my 80GB data allocation while overseas, which is quite spectacular.
So, what are the 11 new countries added to the mix?
Here's the list:
- Saudi Arabia
- South Korea
It's great to see some South American countries on the list, as well as Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Russia and the rest.

Ben McIntosh, Vodafone Australia's chief commercial officer, said: "We don’t want our customers to worry about hidden costs or to spend their holiday searching for Wi-Fi.
"That’s why I’m proud that Vodafone is the only telco in Australia to give customers international roaming for just $5 a day.
"We are already the network for roaming. But we didn’t stop at that.
"Today we add another 11 destinations, covering a total of 80 countries, or nearly 70% of the world’s population.
"We know that Australians love to travel, and just like our no lock-in contracts and flexible payment terms, we want to give customers choice, freedom and flexibility to travel without worry."
