Global Broadband Futures is a new one-day event in Sydney, bringing together the best carrier technologists and executives from around the world to meet Australian companies, operators and media.
UPDATE: All the other presentations on the day have been recorded on video and can be seen here.
A brief introduction to the conference can be read here, based on NBN Co's media release this morning.
Speakers at the event include: Mike McTighe, chairman of UK network operator Openreach; Bruno Jacobfeuerborn, chief technology officer of Deutsche Telekom; Byungki Oh, vice-president of Global Development at Korea Telecom; and Jeff Finkelstein, executive director of Advanced Technology of US cable operator Cox Communications.
Due to limited upload bandwidth, I have only been able to upload Morrow's speech thus far, preceded by an introduction by NBN Co public affairs manager Tony Brown.
The rest of the presentations recorded thus far are being slowly uploaded as we speak. If only we had tens of megabits of upload capacity, I'd have streamed the event live in 1080P or even 4K, but sadly, that's not yet possible, or at least, not with the equipment I have to hand.
So, here's Morrow, preceded by Brown, with Morrow giving a wrap on the NBN Co's history, through to where it is today in 2017, and the various things that have happened in between.
