The cities of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane are the worst hit.
Can you send people texts making them aware of faults. It sucks to have spent the last 30 minutes troubleshooting only to find the problem is on your end.— Paul Rebec (@PaulRebec) August 2, 2020
Rubbish customer service
Though Telstra attempted to play down the issues, claiming that only "some home users" had affected, the outage was widespread.
No other Internet service providers reported connectivity issues though the NBN reported some problems which reached their peak at about 11am AEDT.
Oh, you have to love @Telstra! Go to their website on my phone because NBN is down (again), click the link to their “Outages” section only to get this! Slow clap, Telstra. Slow clap!— Andrew Baker (@andybaker85) August 2, 2020

Like a lot of people, right now I'm running home internet off my personal hotspot. Just a quick question, does this mean my next bill will be in the five figures or something? Oh, and big thanks to Turnbull and Abbott once again, too. #Telstra— Rohan Connolly (@rohan_connolly) August 2, 2020
