This took the total number of premises that are ready to connect to 9.93 million, beating the target of 9.7 million.
This meant more than 75% of all homes and businesses could now connect to the network, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The total number of premises activated at the end of the three months was 5.52 million, marginally more than the target of 5.5 million.
The rollout of the network is expected to be completed next year. As ordinary residents have 18 months from notification of availability to connect and businesses have three years, it will be 2023 by the time the whole project is done and dusted.
The period from 2020 to 2023 is expected to be used to try and resolve the many thousands of cases which have been too difficult to connect during the regular rollout.
