The mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) market is still young in Australia, with Amaysim only four years old, but the company has certainly made a big impact and has grown to be Australia’s biggest MVNO provider.
Now, for the second year running, it has taken out the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Award in the mobile service provider category, which is a recognition and validation of Amaysim’s ‘customer-first’ approach.
Customer satisfaction ratings are based on Roy Morgan’s ongoing Single Source surveys of over 50,000 consumers across Australia.
Respondents rate their level of satisfaction across a variety of products and services, with the organisation that ranks first for the most months that year declared the annual winner.
Amaysim MD, Julian Ogrin notes that ‘the win reflects the high value that Australians place on attentive, customer-focused business practices’, and says: “Our customers are our absolute highest priority at amaysim, and we work hard each and every day to earn their happiness.
“With that in mind, this award is a massive recognition of our customer service and web teams who are constantly looking to make our DIY and online-driven customer experiences even better than they already are.
“In 2015 we’ll continue to bring choice, simplicity and value to Aussie mobile users, while constantly refining our approach of being the no worries telco which puts customers back in the driver’s seat.”
The win follows Amaysim’s recent announcement that it will start offering 4G plans around Easter this year, which we covered here in late December 2014.
Ogrin concluded, “We’ll soon be able to offer our customers 4G plans in our amaysim way, while continuing to provide value-for-money and award-winning customer service.”
As Australia’s largest MVNO, it should come as no surprise to see Amaysim having also won a swathe of previous awards, including the Canstar Blue Most Satisfied Customers award for 2013, Money magazine’s ‘Best of the Best’ award for 2012 and 2013, ‘Gold’ at the Money magazine Best of the Best 2012 awards as well as the Money magazine Best of the Best 2013 awards.
It was also shortlisted as a finalist for “Most Successful MVNO” at the global Mobile Virtual Network Operator Industry Summit in 2013, and won the Canstar Blue Most Satisfied Mobile Customers Award in the Prepaid Category for 2013 & 2014, the Most Satisfied Customers in the Plan Category in 2014 and the Roy Morgan Most Satisfied Mobile Customers Award for 2013 & 2014.
I’m sure Amaysim find it rewarding to be such an awarded MVNO - let’s just hope it prices 4G plans right and comes with a solid offer to compete against Globalgig’s 10GB data plan of 4G data only for $50 per month.
