Kogan Mobile offers 'permanent data upgrades' and discounts on plans

By

The battle for the hearts, minds and wallets of pre-paid mobile phone users is raging, with Boost, Amaysim, Ovo and now Kogan Mobile upgrading data allowances in a big way.

In the great sales season we find ourselves towards the end of the year, it is no surprise to see Kogan Mobile state that it is "giving Aussies even more reasons to shop, with data inclusions and mobile deal promotions that will make even the greatest holiday cynics crack a smile".

As per usual, Kogan Mobile is yet again upping the ante, with great pre-paid deals offering the usual unlimited standard talk and text within Australia, and now with even larger data inclusions, leading Kogan Mobile to state "there really is no time like the present to treat yourself or a loved one".

Permanent increases to data inclusions – up to 40GB per 30 days

"The holidays are stressful", notes Kogan Mobile, "but worrying about data shouldn’t be at the top of your to-do list".

The company has given a treat not only to new Kogan Mobile customers, but existing ones too, on Medium, Large and Extra Large prepaid plans, who will "receive an automatic — and permanent — data increase".

This is valid for all 30-, 90- and 365-day plans, and the upgrades on data will be as follows:

  • Extra Large options will jump from 32 GB to 40GB per 30 days;
  • Large options will see an increase from 17 GB to 20GB per 30 days; and
  • Medium options will almost double from 7GB to 13GB per 30 days.

We're told that "the extra data can be used for those time-honoured pastimes, like streaming your favourite TV shows, movies and music videos".

So, what about the discount on the 365-day plan options?

Forty percent off is on offer "for new and existing Kogan Mobile customers looking for 365-day options", whereby Kogan Mobile customers "can now get 40GB for as little as $25.90 per 30 days when purchased as part of a 365-day option.

"Starting from 9am AEDT on 16 November through 11:59pm AEDT on 31 January, all Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large 365-day options purchased will be seeing major discounts. The more inclusions, the bigger the savings, giving you all the permission you need to indulge."

  • Extra Large 365-day options will be discounted by a whopping 40% bringing the sale price down to $315.10 and setting a per 30 day sale price of $25.90;
  • Large 365-day options will be discounted by 35% bringing the sale price down to $254.30 and setting a per 30 day price of $20.90;
  • Medium 365-day options will be discounted by 25% bringing the sale price down to $222.65 and setting a per 30 day price of $18.30; and
  • Small 365-day options will be discounted by 10%, bringing the sale price to $161.82 and setting a per 30 day price of $13.30.

Full details of the promotion can be found here, with Kogan Mobile naturally advising that "considering how quickly 2018 flew by, it’s better to act now, because the end of January will be here before we know it".
