New BlackBerry doubles as broadband modem

Telstra and BlackBerry maker Research In Motion (RIM) have launched an enhancement for the BlackBerry 7250 wireless handheld that allows it to double up as a wireless modem to connect a laptop or desktop to the internet.

Telstra's HK CSL and New World PCS to merge

ImageTelstra announced today that its Hong Kong mobile subsidiary CSL Limited and competitor New World PCS Limited will be merged, in a move that will give Telstra control of the leading mobile player in the HK market, according to the carrier.
