American processor companies are lobbying the government to ease the ban on supplying components to Chinese telecommunications equipment vendor Huawei Technologies, a report claims.
Processor maker Intel has acquired Barefoot Networks, a company that designs and produces programmable network switch silicon, systems and software, for an unspecified amount.
With Intel's processors in the news since January 2018 over CPU flaws, it should come as no surprise to see AMD urging government agencies and corporate bodies to "keep an open mind about their CPU and GPU options when purchasing their fleet of desktops, notebooks and servers".
