MyNetFone keeps PennyTel, iVoisys customers online

By

MyNetFone has extended a lifeline to the customers of two communications companies that recently went into liquidation.

Mobile reseller PennyTel and VoIP provider iVoisys went into provisional liquidation earlier this month under orders from the NSW Supreme Court.

MyNetFone has stepped in, reaching an agreement with the court appointed provisional liquidator Rodgers Reidy Chartered Accountants and key suppliers to keep the company's customers connected.

"We are here to help", said MyNetFone CEO Rene Sugo.

"Our priority is continuity of service - ensuring there is no disruption to end-users is critical from our perspective.

"Our team are confident that we can smooth out the experience for PennyTel and iVoisys customers, who have faced a lot of uncertainty in the past week."

A statement issued by MyNetFone implies that the company intends to absorb the PennyTel and iVoisys services and customers into its own operations.

Apart from being a major supplier of VoIP and other services to residential, business and government customers, MyNetFone owns Symbio, Australia's largest wholesale VoIP network.
