Former Xero Australia managing director Chris Ridd has invested in talent management solution provider Seera ahead of a planned ASX listing next year.

Ridd joins Seera as it nears completion of a $10 million A Round capital raising to support its plans for offshore growth.

Ridd, who ended a five-year stint as Xero’s Australia chief in January, has invested an undisclosed amount in Seera and has also been appointed as an advisor to the company as it prepares for the 2017 listing.

Seera founder, chief executive and former Seek executive Bradley Birchall says Ridd’s experience as managing director of Xero is perfectly aligned with the company’s growth strategy, and “will be instrumental in our current capital raising and IPO plans".

“Chris is recognised as a true technology industry heavyweight who intimately understands what it takes for a cloud solution to go from start-up to ASX listing.”

Ridd, who worked with Microsoft for 15 years before joining Xero, said, “After nearly 30 years in leadership I fundamentally believe that competencies are the key to successful talent management, so the opportunity to join and invest in Seera which provides organisations with unparalleled solution was an easy decision.”
