The Australian wireless broadband provider has launched the new R&D facility in Sunrise, Florida, following closely behind its recent announcement of a major contract win for its fixed wireless business in the US.
NetComm chief executive and managing director, David Stuart, says the company has experienced “tremendous growth” in recent years and will continue to invest in the R&D resources needed to accelerate the expansion of its business in the US and globally.
“Our new R&D centre will allow us to meet the specific needs of our US-based customers and partners, while strengthening our product design, development and testing capabilities," Stuart said.
NetComm says the selection of the Sunrise area in Florida became an obvious choice. “It is a significant technology hub attracting a substantial number of multinational technology based companies and has a large pool of talented telecommunications engineers,” the company says in a statement.
And, in its Australian home market, NetComm has announced the expansion of its R&D facilities in Sydney and Melbourne.
