Sydney firm wins Asia Pacific Visionary Technology Award

Sydney-based Adept Business Systems has won the Asia Pacific Visionary Award at the 2013 Progress Software Global Partner Conference. Held in Las Vegas, the event brings together Progress Software's application partners, OEMs and system integrators from around the world and highlights emerging growth trends in business technology.

The Visionary Award provides recognition for software with the potential to transform how business consumes technology.

Adept's mobility framework allows enterprises to deliver services to mobile workers and customers by connecting smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices to corporate data held in Progress OpenEdge and other databases.

Accepting the award in Las Vegas, Adept CEO Steve Clark said, "Although mobility is critical to business success, many enterprises are struggling to cope with the trend to BYOD.

Adept's mobility framework provides an innovative solution by recognising that a 'one size fits all' approach won't work and instead allows applications to take advantage of the device-specific features that are driving momentum in the BYOD market."

In Australia, customers of Adept's mobility technology include Nestle Purina and the Craig Mostyn Group.
