Forcepoint, Orca in deal to serve local clients

Cyber security company Forcepoint has inked a deal with Sydney IT security distributor Orca Tech to support the efforts of both companies in catering to Australian clients.

A statement said Orca Tech would now have access to all Forcepoint’s security solutions, including DLP, insider threat, Web security, email security and next-generational firewall technologies.

It will become a key distribution partner for Forcepoint in the country focusing on both business and government customers.

“Forcepoint’s partnership with Orca Tech will help our customers protect their employees, critical business data and intellectual property by detecting and eliminating risky cyber behaviours,” said Guy Eilon, country manager of Forcepoint ANZ.

“Orca Tech has a proven track record in delivering value to their partner network and an exceptional reputation in the security market.”

Jelena Milosevic, Orca Tech’s ANZ marketing manager, said companies needed to focus less on protecting infrastructure and more on human points of interaction with systems and data.

“Our customers face a rapidly evolving threat landscape," she said. 

"While many solutions on the market today focus on defending the perimeter, this partnership with Forcepoint enables us to offer our customers a new opportunity to implement a system of solutions that work together to eliminate cyber security blind spots everywhere."
