Dicker Data is the newest member of Micron's Australian distributor network, distributing its consumer products including the full range of Crucial SSDs, DRAM memory and Ballistix high-performance gaming memory.

The new affiliation starts as Dicker Data announces its new eSports category, which it formed to specifically target the growing gaming market in Australia.

The news was announced to the ASX on Wednesday morning.

Micron Technology’s senior marketing manager in APJ for Crucial and Ballistix Products, Mathew Luu, said, “Micron has developed a strong following for our Crucial and Ballistix brands since they were introduced to the Australian market seven years ago.

"By working closely with Dicker Data, we’ll be able to strengthen our distribution model and elevate our growth across corporate, government, channel, and gaming businesses.”

Dicker Data chairman and chief executive David Dicker added, “I’m pleased to announce our new agreement with Micron. Micron are one of the world’s only few remaining manufacturers of memory products that service everything from the enterprise to the SMB and personal gaming markets.

"The addition of their products will further bolster our enterprise and mid-market product portfolio, whilst also assisting with our efforts to grow our presence in the eSports market.”

Dicker Data will sell and distribute Micron, Crucial, and Ballistix products via its network of over 5500 reseller partners throughout Australia, covering all of the market segments and verticals the company deals in.
