Human resources tech company Xref has won a tender to provide automated, online candidate referencing to NBN Co for the National Broadband Network.

Under the contract Xref, which secured the contract after a competitive tender process, will provide services to NBN Co’s to support the organisation’s hiring needs with its software as a service (SaaS) platform which automates the collection of feedback on potential and current employees.

According to Xref, its automated solution collects 60% more data five times faster than traditional methods and, by automating a business critical task, protects companies from fraud, discrimination and privacy breaches.

Xref will be the candidate referencing solution provider for all NBN hiring, including permanent, temporary and contracted employees.

“Competing through a rigorous tender process tests our robust IT security, legal agreement framework and commercial acumen,” said Xref executive director and chief technology officer Tim Griffiths.

“We are very pleased with this outcome, which demonstrates our ability to win significant tenders, and the strong relationships we have forged with the team at NBN.”
