Vault Systems boosts executive team with new hire

By

Secure government cloud provider Vault Systems has hired former Fujitsu vice-president for sales platforms business, Anthony Simkins, to join its executive team.

A statement from the company said Simkins (above) would take up the role of sales director right away and has been tasked with creating a strong partner network in order to expand the company's portfolio of services in Australia.

“Vault has experienced significant strides in its growth trajectory over the last few years and we intend to continue making the cloud a secure place for the government," said Vault Systems founder and chief executive Rupert Taylor-Price.

"This is an incredibly important appointment for the business and for our partners and customers - one that reflects our desire to extend our secure cloud services to government in other states.”

Simkins has been working in the IT industry for the last two decades. Before his stint at Fujitsu, he was at Accenture for 19 years where he held senior positions, including Strategy Consulting, managing director of Ventures and Acquisitions, Financial Services, Asia Pacific; and managing director, Market Maker and Sales, Financial Services, Australia and New Zealand.

In those capacities, he was responsible for developing the ventures and acquisitions strategy and origination, sales culture and capability, and leading individual and team sales.

“Vault has a deserved reputation as a trusted government cloud provider in the marketplace. Vault’s values and proven cloud delivery models are facets I have respected as a partner for many years, and I am excited to be on board and part of the great team as we actively shape its future growth,” Simkins said of his new role.
