"With Ian Tinsley driving our engineering strategy, our EngagementHQ platform will continue to evolve to meet the stakeholder needs of our clients and, more importantly, their constituents," said Bang The Table co-founder and CTO Karthik Reddy.
"Ian is an Agile advocate who is a staunch believer in accessibility, privacy by design and the reduction of barriers to participation."
Tinsley has decades of experience in software development and team management, most recently working as CTO at My Plan Manager.

He previously served as consultant CTO at Loop+, founder of soundcla.sh, and CTO at Lux Group.
Earlier in his career Tinsley was an Agile coach at Pragmateam and Lend Lease, held various technology roles at Westfield (culminating in head of software engineering at Westfield Labs), and was a developer at Gresham Computing and Deutsche Bank.
He holds honours degrees in economics and political affairs from Norfolk College of Arts and Technology (UK; now the College of West Anglia) and London Guildhall University (now London Metropolitan University).
"Often in transformations, a key focus is breaking down the constraints of pre-existing controls, bureaucracy and silos - that's not the problem at Bang the Table," said Tinsley.
"Here, my focus is really on encouraging close collaboration between the product and engineering teams, while establishing the processes, culture, engineering expertise and cross-continental collaboration to enable rapid, iterative product development.
"Online engagement is critical in facilitating effective dialogue in democratic societies, and I am excited to be part of the team-leading development in this space.
"I have deep admiration for the technical ability of the Bang the Table team and their commitment to evolving the platform while keeping it simple to use for clients and their stakeholders.
"Our ultimate goal is to ensure our clients have an even more powerful tool at their disposal to engage with and serve their communities."
