"To win in a challenging market requires not only the best tools for the job, but the best minds," said IFS managing director of Australia and New Zealand, Warren Zietsman.
"Greg has an exceptional understanding of the enterprise software industry and is committed to delivering tailored, competitive solutions."
Robinson (pictured) joined IFS from Precise Business Solutions, where he was COO. He previously held management positions at Telstra Health, INX Software, and SAI Global.
"IFS's ongoing success demonstrates the appetite Australian customers have for software solution that provide real business value in asset intensive and project intensive domains," he said.
"I'm excited to be a part of a company that builds trust with partners through a collaborative spirit and an agile approach to the changing market conditions.
"We are providing partners with a truly unique opportunity to provide their customers with more choice in a market where other vendors focus on extracting value rather than delivering value."
IFS has established five other senior positions focussing on the energy, utilities and resources (EUR) and engineering, construction and infrastructure (ECI) industries.
Senior account director Anna Murray is an ECI expert, having previously worked at Oracle, Bentley Systems and Autodesk, among others.
"We know the construction and energy sectors are undergoing a major shift in the way business operates. Whether it is moving to a productivity-based business, or grappling with company privatisation. Each comes with its own challenge and the need to work smarter," she said.
Senior account director Simone Doolan's expertise is in the EUR sector. She previously worked for ABB, and Mincom.
"New technologies are also enabling companies to retain significant intellectual property bound to their ageing workforce, and attract highly skilled talent in a time of resource scarcity," she said.
The other appointees are senior account executive Jim Hatzistavrou, and senior account directors Ian Watts and David Davy.
