Samsung has announced the appointment of Mr. Sangho Jo as President and CEO of Southeast Asia & Oceania.
The company says he is "a proven Samsung leader with over three decades of experience across business groups and geographies", and believes Jo "will steer the strategic growth directions of Samsung Electronics in Southeast Asia & Oceania".
Southeast Asia is one of the world's most dynamic regions, and along with China, is what is expected to power the 21st century as the Asian century, so it's no surprise to see Samsung Electronics state that Southeast Asia - along with the Oceania region - as "integral" to its long-term growth plans.

As noted above, this is a return to the Southeast Asia & Oceania region for Jo, who "worked in Samsung Electronics Singapore (1997), Vietnam (1998 – 2000) and Malaysia (2007 – 2008)".
Jo said: “I am pleased to return to Southeast Asia and Oceania, and lead one of the vibrant leading hubs for Samsung Electronics globally.
