Ricky Friedlander has joined RANGEme to take up the CTO role. Friedlander has played an integral part in the growth of several start-ups, most notably MacromatiX, a SaaS provider which built operations software for brands including McDonalds, KFC, Burger King and Starbucks.
The RANGEme platform facilitates the ranging process for FMCG products.
Friedlander’s mobile product development was seen as a major innovation for the company (MacromatiX) and industry and was a key factor in the acquisition of MacromatiX (now Red Book Connect) by private equity firm TPG Growth in 2012.
Jackson said RANGEme had achieved significant momentum since its launch in March 2014, recently winning Smart Company’s web awards for Best Small Company Website, and the platform is used by hundreds of buyers from the grocery, pharmacy, convenience and health food channels to source new products for their stores.
“RANGEme is a revolutionary concept that is transforming an outdated, time consuming process between buyers and suppliers. I’m thrilled to be leading the technology development of this disruptive business,” Friedlander said.
