US software and experience management solutions vendor Qualtrics has appointed financial services veteran David Faugno as chief financial officer.

Faugno joins Qualtrics after 10 years as CFO for cloud-enabled security and data protection solutions vendor Barracuda Networks, including when the company completed a successful public offering.

He also served as senior director of corporate finance – M&A at Cisco Systems, was CFO for Actona Technologies and spent eight years at AT&T, including as CFO of the EMEA region.

Faugno will be based at the Qualtrics Provo, Utah headquarters in the US.

“We couldn’t be more excited to add David to the Qualtrics team,” said Ryan Smith, co-founder and chief executive of Qualtrics. “His experience helping to scale an early stage, high growth start up to a public company is incredibly unique. As Qualtrics continues to scale, we’ll benefit a great deal from the experience David brings to the table. I’m looking forward to continuing to build the experience management category together.”

“The most exciting part of this new move is the immense opportunity in front of us in the experience management market that Qualtrics has pioneered,” Faugno said. “Every organisation needs an experience management platform. It’s absolutely critical to their business objectives and Qualtrics is the only company positioned to provide that single system of record.”

Just last month Qualtrics appointed 20-year IT industry veteran Mark Vozzo as head of digital, Asia Pacific and Japan to lead marketing efforts across digital channels.

Prior to joining Qualtrics, Vozzo played a role driving digital marketing and overseeing SEO, SEM, display and social ad campaigns for Google Cloud and also led campaigns to launch new data regions in Singapore and Sydney.

Vozzo also worked for Salesforce, Microsoft Australia, Fairfax Media, and Citect.
