Q2Connect boosts team with new CTO

Travel, education and lifestyle events social networking site Q2Connect has appointed a new Chief technology Officer as it builds a team to accommodate what it says is growing demand for its services.

Robert Walker has been appointed CTO, joining Q2Connect from the Macquarie Bank, with recent appointments in Singapore and the Philippine capital of Manila.

Q2Connect co-founder Peter Mansour said Walker brings “a fresh new approach and a wealth of skills to the Q2Connect team at this important stage of our development and given his credentials I know he will make significant contributions.”

“Our business is in growth mode, with a lot having already being achieved and lots more in the pipeline. The time has come to boost our resources and we welcome Roberts’s capability in continuing to deliver for consumers, and helping cement Q2Connect as the go-to networking platform for travellers in Australia and around the world.”

Peter Dinham is a co-founder of iTWire and a 35-year veteran journalist and corporate communications consultant.
