Leverington brings to NGINX almost two decades of experience in the systems architecture and cloud industry.
Prior to joining NGINX, he held key roles in companies including AWS and VMware, as well as working with Telstra, ANZ Bank, National Australia Bank and Optus.
Norbert Kiss, head of Asia Pacific, NGINX, said Leverington’s addition to the NGINX team was part of the company’s global expansion plans to better support local customers and partners and to address the burgeoning demand for application development and delivery infrastructure.

“The appointment of Anthony, who has an excellent track record in the enterprise technology space, reinforces our strategy to build our presence in Australia and New Zealand.
“NGINX already enjoys huge adoption in most of Australia’s leading companies through its open source initiatives, and we are excited to have him on board with us as we grow our business in the region.”
Telstra’s venture capital arm, Telstra Ventures, made a strategic investment in NGINX two years ago and the company says it has since been working closely with Telstra to speed up the enterprise adoption of its application delivery solutions across ANZ.
NGINX says it is committed to driving enterprise-wide digital transformation and technology modernisation through comprehensive application delivery tools that address scalability, performance and IoT app security.
In support of this, NGINX says it has recently made enhancements to its application modernisation platform to meet the needs of organisations in modernising legacy applications and delivering new digital services with clouds, containers, and microservices.
