New man heads up Global Cloud Xchange in Australia, NZ

IT services company Global Cloud Xchange, has appointed a telecom industry veteran as its managing director of Australia and New Zealand.

David Pearson takes up the role after 28 dears of telecom experience, mostly recently with Pacnet where he was director of sales for Australia and also worked in other sales management roles since 2002.

During his 12 years at Pacnet, Pearson was responsible for driving sales growth across carrier, government and enterprise markets in the ANZ region.

Prior to Pacnet, Pearson was senior sales manager at Level 3 in Tokyo, where he was instrumental in setting up and building the company’s Japan business.  He also held sales management roles with other companies, including MCI Worldcom (Verizon) and Eunetcom ISD, and earlier as a technical support officer for BHP Engineering.

“David brings a wealth of experience to our team and we are delighted to have him on board as we continue our strategic expansion and growth across Australia and New Zealand,” said Fabrizio Civitarese, President, Asia Pacific, Global Cloud Xchange.

Pearson has a Bachelor of Science with honors in Computer and Control Systems from Coventry Polytechnic in the UK.
