Deok Hyeon Moon, most recently LG's president for two years of LG's Russian subsidiary, had been appointed managing director of the ANZ business, replacing outgoing managing director, William Cho, who has taken on a more senior position back in Korea.
Prior to his Russian appointment, Mr Moon was in charge of LG's business in Panama and the Central America area, comprising 24 countries, and in his 26 years with the company he was also CEO and president of LG's French business and a senior manager in Korea.
A company spokesperson said Mr Moon would lead the ANZ subsidiary in building on the success of 2011 to continue improving LG's market share locally. In 2011 LG Australia was the global company's number one subsidiary, exceeding revenue and market share targets.
The spokesperson said Life's Good Project was designed to find out what makes life good for Australians and reward them for doing so.
According to the LG spokesperson, this was LG's first brand campaign in Australia in three years and was designed to engage consumers, and it has 'already increased brand preference.'
