James Brennan puts on his BlueJeans to take new APAC director position

Video comms evangelist and top industry exec James Brennan is the new Asia Pacific director of cloud-based video communications company, BlueJeans.

The company says James Brennan’s key priority "will be accelerating BlueJeans’ strong growth in the APAC region, leading the sales, marketing, and customer success teams, while also working closely with customers and partners".

The hire follows other key global executive appointments and comes as BlueJeans "recently exceeded two billion video minutes consumed annually on the ‘BlueJeans Enterprise Video Cloud platform'."

Brennan said: “Customers in APAC are looking for powerful video tools that are easy to use, affordable, and simple to deploy. I am excited to show them how BlueJeans can meet their needs like no other video solution.”

If the words "video communications" and "James Brennan" sound familiar in tandem, they should – he is billed as a "communications industry heavyweight" who "previously spent more than 10 years at Polycom in Asia and North America, where he held senior leadership positions in sales, marketing, and product management".

James Campanini, general manager of international at BlueJeans Network said, “The appointment of James is a great coup for BlueJeans, our customers, and our channel partners throughout Asia Pacific. James’ passion and reputation as a video communications evangelist precede him.

“BlueJeans will benefit from his depth of experience, driving the transformation of business communications across the region,” added Campanini.

Brennan concluded by stating: “It is an exciting time to join BlueJeans. We have a dedicated team and focused plan in place to build on our momentum and accelerate growth. The coming months will see further investment in ANZ, including partner expansion, as well as expansion in wider APAC.”

With millions of users worldwide, BlueJeans notes that it has "continued to expand its footprint in the enterprise video market by adding around 100 enterprise and midmarket customers within the last quarter alone. The company also recently signed up nearly 200 new business trials after it announced its unique integration with Facebook Live".

BlueJeans proudly boasts its "success comes as enterprises rapidly move to a video-first approach for their everyday meetings and large-format events. With nearly 5000 customers and 25 million participants around the globe".
