Ingrey goes in as BigCommerce GM

E-commerce SaaS provider BigCommerce has appointed Shannon Ingrey as its APAC general manager.

"Shannon's experience as a leader and his passion for the ecommerce space made him the perfect fit for this role at BigCommerce. He has a genuine interest in the ecommerce industry and where it's heading, and is a strong asset to our growing APAC business," said chief executive Brent Bellm.

"I look forward to working with Shannon as we continue to expand our business, customers, employees and partners in the region."

Ingrey joins BigCommerce from shipping platform Shippit, where he served as chief revenue officer.

He previously spent nearly five years as Bronto Software's APAC general manager, covering the period when it was acquired by NetSuite and the subsequent acquisition of NetSuite by Oracle.

Earlier in his career, Ingrey worked in the retail and franchising sectors.

"I've watched the team at BigCommerce deliver a highly functional, truly open SaaS platform that rivals enterprise grade solutions over the past few years. The power of the platform, packaged specifically for mid-market and rapidly growing businesses, brings sophistication to this segment of the market that hasn't been seen before from any other platform," said Ingrey.

"As the fastest growing e-commerce region in the world, the opportunity to shape BigCommerce's presence in APAC was one that I couldn't pass up."
