Google’s Vozzo crosses to Qualtrics in APJ region role

US software company Qualtrics has appointed 20-year IT industry veteran Mark Vozzo as head of digital, Asia Pacific and Japan to lead marketing efforts across digital channels.

Based in Sydney, Vozzo is tasked with developing and designing marketing strategies and programmes to generate awareness of experience management – an emerging concept that Qualtrics says is fast gaining momentum among businesses in the region.  

Prior to joining Qualtrics, Vozzo played a role driving digital marketing and overseeing SEO, SEM, display and social ad campaigns for Google Cloud and also led campaigns to launch new data regions in Singapore and Sydney.

In addition to Google, Vozzo also worked for Salesforce.com, Microsoft Australia, Fairfax Media, and Citect.

Bill McMurray, managing director, Asia Pacific and Japan at Qualtrics, said: “As Qualtrics expands in the region, the appointment of Mark is a strategic boost to the APJ marketing team. He has a unique set of capabilities and we have full confidence that his extensive digital experience will serve to build Qualtrics’ brand awareness and accelerate growth. We are delighted to have him join our team.”

According to McMurray, since its official launch into the APJ region in January 2015, Qualtrics has grown to more than 90 employees across six offices, with over 650 customers, and achieved 100% year-on-year revenue growth.

Qualtrics has recently expanded its regional footprint with the establishment of its Southeast Asia headquarters in Singapore.

“Most businesses believe they are delivering a superior experience but in reality, only a small percentage of their customers agree,” said Vozzo.

“What resonates with me is that Qualtrics moves beyond analysing historical data and instead, looks at experience data to help businesses improve interactions with customers and various stakeholders.”
