Denman leaves Polycom for top job at Brocade

By

Listed global networking solutions vendor Brocade has appointed former Polycom ANZ managing director Gary Denman as its senior director for Australia and New Zealand.

Denman (pictured), with more than 20 years experience in enterprise technology and sales leadership, will be responsible for leading Brocade operations and go-to-market strategies in the ANZ region, with specific focus on accelerating growth in the software networking market.

Denman joined Polycom in 2012 with more than 18 years of sales leadership experience with Microsoft in the UK, Australia and Malaysia, where he was responsible for developing growth plans and customer opportunities.

“The ANZ region is one of the most advanced markets in the deployment of next-generation high-speed networks within APAC, and it continues to be a strategic and focused market for Brocade as we deepen our focus on Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) across the region,” said Adam Judd, Brocade vice president for APAC.

“Gary has a proven track record in developing customer-focused organisations and delivering strong business growth across the commercial, government, and service provider sectors. Gary will play an instrumental role in accelerating our growth in ANZ, and we are confident he will bring tremendous value to our customers and partners as we capture the momentum of the software networking market down under.”

“Brocade’s dedication to fostering its leading position in the development of SDN and NFV innovations, and disrupting the networking status quo is impressive and unrivalled,” Denman said.

“I am thrilled to join Brocade at this historic moment to help our customers and partners embrace change and maximise their opportunities with open networking technology that can be easily integrated with their current infrastructures.”
