Security vendor Cylance has appointed Evan Davidson as APAC vice-president.

“Evan has proven himself to be an incredibly effective and trusted vice-president, responsible for driving Cylance’s expansion in the EMEA market since 2016," said chief revenue officer David Castignola.

"His passion for Cylance’s prevention-first, predictive security products and commitment to the company will be a significant benefit to the APAC region.”

Davidson has served as Cylance's EMEA vice-president since joining in 2016.

He previously worked as UK and Ireland sales director at FireEye, EMEA and Asia business development manager at Veracode, and UK territory manager for Cisco.

Earlier in his career, Davidson held a number of sales management positions at Optus.

He holds an MBA from Queensland University of Technology, and a Graduate Certificate in IT from the University of Southern Queensland.
