Cohesity picks Petrov for regional role

By

Data management vendor Cohesity has appointed Velo Petrov as its ANZ regional sales director.

"We are delighted that Velo has agreed to join Cohesity at this time," said Cohesity ANZ managing director Steve Coad.

"Many public sector agencies and enterprises in the region are eager to deploy software-defined solutions that simplify backup, make data much easier to manage, and empower organisations to derive value from data.

"Velo brings years of technology and public sector experience to the table and will play a key role, working with partners, in helping agencies and organisations embrace modern data management capabilities that are designed for hybrid cloud deployments."

Petrov has more than 10 years of experience in enterprise IT sales.

He joins Cohesity from Exabeam, where he worked as ANZ south regional sales director.

Petrov previously worked in sales and sales management at AppDynamics, Blue Coat (acquired by Symantec), Fujitsu, and Dimension Data (now NTT).

He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Wollongong, and an advanced diploma in game development from the Academy of Interactive Entertainment.
