Secondary storage provider Cohesity has bolstered its presence in Australia and New Zealand with the appointment of Kathryn Ramanathan as its first channel and alliances manager for the two countries.

Ramanathan, who will be based in Melbourne, will aim to boost the company's alliances with regional channel partners and systems integrators.

She has more than 10 years' experience in the IT industry and previously worked with Hitachi Vantara where she was team lead and strategic partner manager - Southern Region.

Before that, Ramanathan was ANZ OEM territory representative for Brocade Communications where she worked with partners to close deals across the company’s range of storage area networks, IP, SWN and Wi-Fi solutions.

She has worked for Hewlett Packard Australia and NTT Communications.

“We have experienced significant growth in the past year across Australia and New Zealand and, as a channel-led organisation, Kathryn’s appointment is a natural step in further enhancing our dedicated focus and support to regional partners to ensure their success," said Theo Hourmouzis, Cohesity's ANZ managing director.

“Her considerable channel partner industry experience and prior accomplishments in delivering winning relationships with specialist resellers and service partners will further enable our partners to provide exceptional backup and recovery solutions and help customers extract maximum value from their data.

"Ultimately, our aim is to deliver partners an easy-to-use, web-scale platform for secondary data and applications that empowers their customers to remove data silos and directly address the challenges of mass data fragmentation.”
