Rascagnères, who has been involved in some of the better research posts put out by Talos in the last few years, has been in the cyber security field for more than a decade.
He has joined Kaspersky as a senior security researcher specialising in targeted attack investigations.
Rascagnères started his career as a pentester, but then moved over to the defensive side, exploring incident response and malware analysis for European bodies in Luxembourg and Belgium.
Rascagnères has also worked for GData, a German anti-virus company. He was the author of the first public report on Turla, the group suspected to have Russian links.
He spent four years at Cisco. Rascagnères won the Péter Ször award given by the VirusBulletin conference in 2019 for his work on DNS hijacking attacks.
