Global financial solutions firm Bravura has announced an expanded management team with the creation of a new global product development role, responsible for the delivery of Sonata across EMEA and APAC.

John Waddy, Bravura’s current Chief Operating Officer, EMEA Wealth Management has been appointed to this new position.

Waddy has been with Bravura for more than six years.

Bravura said in a statement Waddy will oversee global software R&D, product innovation, delivery and quality assurance for Sonata, the company’s wealth management and life insurance solution. Waddy  will transition into the post over the next two month, and will relocate to the APAC region in September to be closer to the Sonata development teams and R&D centres based in Auckland, Melbourne and Gurgaon, India.

Harry Storer has been appointed to succeed Waddy as the new Chief Operating Officer, Wealth Management EMEA. Bravura described Storer as a "proven development and implementation leader", and said he brings a wealth of senior executive experience within software and technology firms to this role.

He has served previously as Senior Vice President, Oracle Consulting Services Asia Pacific and Global Consulting Services leader for Ventyx, an ABB Company.

Bravura currently has nine contracted Sonata projects underway around the world covering wrap, superannuation, life insurance and KiwiSaver, across the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

Tony Klim, CEO at Bravura said: “These executive management appointments will strengthen our ability to meet the increasing global demand for Sonata. John will drive forward the delivery of Sonata, enabling us to continue to fulfil our project commitments and deliver our extensive R&D program. We’re also excited to welcome Harry who brings tremendous industry experience and capability to Bravura.

Waddy said, “This opportunity comes at a very exciting, high-growth period in Bravura’s history. I look forward to working closely with clients to help them derive maximum benefit from Sonata by meeting their existing market requirements and developing new market propositions.”

Sonata is Bravura’s unified wealth management platform providing customer-centric administration of pension, investment and life insurance products, delivered in Java and Oracle technology. The solution includes workflow, analytics, mobility and straight-through processing capabilities.
