Gordon Clubb heads up Genesys in Australia, NZ

Customer experience and contact centre solutions provider Genesys has appointed a 25-year IT and telecommunications industry veteran as head of its Australia-New Zealand business.

Genesys Managing Director APAC, Bruce Eidsvik announced the appointment of Gordon Clubb to the position of managing director ANZ, and said that Clubb would use his broad range of management skills to accelerate growth, “whilst simultaneously driving strong customer focus and employee satisfaction.”

Clubb is a former SAS ANZ managing director and SE Asia regional director, Nuance Communications ANZ managing director and Vodafone Australia sales and marketing director.

Eidsvik said Clubb will be responsible for defining the strategy of the ANZ business and “delivering on the company’s mission to build a better world by unleashing the power of great customer experience.”

“Genesys is the fastest growing focused contact centre technology provider in the market and our customer experience platform is second to none.

“I believe Gordon’s vision, commitment to excellence and already strong understanding of our customers’ challenges will continue driving our business forward.”

According to Eidsvik, working with leading edge customers like Telstra, CBA, iiNet, ANZ, Vodafone and NAB and even large government organisations including the ATO and DHS, “we are seeing a consistent growth in customer service expectations across all sectors.”

Clubb said: “As digitisation, data and the ubiquity of mobile and social media continue to change the rules of engagement, I believe Genesys and its partner network are best placed to offer a real understanding of the end-users’ needs and behaviours.
