MVNO Catch Connect's catching offer: all 30-day deals for just $1

Catch Connect has taken a leaf out of Kogan's marketing playbook with "an incredible money-saving deal" where "all 30-day pre-paid mobile plans are available for only $1 for a limited time".

Now, it has to be said that "loss leader" deals aren't exclusive to Kogan, and he certainly didn't invent them, but Kogan has a knack of quality deals more addictive than crack.

Catching on to the same phenomenon is the Optus-powered Catch Connect, one of Australia's newest mobile virtual network operators or MVNOs.

It's $1 deal should certainly catch your attention, as it is billed as being "the pinnacle of Catch Connect’s series of mega-bargains, following the launch of its 365-day plans at 30% off, and its $15 90-day plan offer, placing them at the top of the market for affordable prepaid mobile plans across 30, 90 and 365 days".

The idea is simple, after all – sign up with Catch Connect, and chances are you'll stick with the company for at least a while (possibly until some other MVNO deal comes along, with many pre-paid Aussies happier to chop and change carriers these days as often as they desire), but with inertia still a thing, Catch Connect clearly knows that $1 worth of honey is better at catching fly-in churn-out MVNO switchers than $1 of vinegar.

With this 30-day deal, Catch Connect proudly boasts that "smart Aussies can grab 15GB of data for just $1, saving $34".

Naturally, Catch Connect wants to make it as easy as possible to catch this great deal, so it should come as no surprise that you can "easily subscribe at, get a fast signup and bring their own mobile number across, without hassle".

The deal runs from "11am June 6 to 11am June 19", so if you find this deal rather catching, you have "two weeks to bag themselves a $1 bargain on the 30-day plans".

The savings are as follows:

  • 30-day 2GB now $1 – Save $14
  • 30-day 5GB now $1 – Save $24
  • 30-day 15GB now $1 – Save $34

Nati Harpaz, chief executive, Catch Group, was in no way harping on when he said: “For only $1, these latest deals on our 30-day plans are further indication of our unwavering dedication to providing mobile users with the most affordable prepaid plans.

"We’ll continue to provide Aussies with the best money-saving mobile deals; it’s what Catch Connect is all about.”

Catch Connect talks up the benefits of MVNOs and obviously its own offering, stating, "with many Aussies opting for prepaid plans for convenience, no lock-in contract and peace of mind, Catch Connect’s plans are ideal for those also looking to save money whilst being serviced by one of Australia’s most reliable networks".

It's all "powered by the Optus 4G Plus Mobile Network, which reaches 96.9% of Aussies, all plans come with unlimited talk and text to standard numbers in Australia".
