Despite the fact 5G is already well on its way thanks to Samsung's announcement today, Virgin today added 4G prepaid and postpaid services for metropolitan customers.
Customers will now be able can access “seriously quick” 4G Internet from any 4G-ready Mobile Broadband device on the $59 plan with 13GB included data. Virgin Mobile customers have the option to BYO their own 4G device or purchase the Huawei E5776 WiFi modem on a 12-month plan, available from Virgin Mobile.
The prices are similar to Optus' offering of a WiFi modem and 10GB included data for $49.95, but far less than Telstra which is offering 15GB of data for a costly $95 per month.
