While that launch has been promised for some time, we finally have the date of August 11 for its launch.
Unfortunately, we don't know yet whether this is a hard launch or a soft launch. Will product be available immediately, or will it take some time for stock to actually land in stores?
Who will be the exclusive reseller(s) of the new Galaxy Tab?
Will it come with Android Honeycomb OS 3.0, 3.1 or 3.2?
What accessories will Samsung have available, when will a 3G version be coming out, what capacities will be sold locally, how quickly does Samsung promise to make Android OS updates available, when is the next 7-inch Galaxy Tab coming, will Samsung ever release a Bada tablet...
All these questions and more will undoubtedly be answered (to some degree) at Samsung's Galaxy Tab launch on August 11!
However, we are promised "more experiences on the go", so whether this is just a marketing slogan or you really can do more on the go with the Galaxy Tab "on to go" than with any other Android Honeycomb tablet already out there.
It'll also be good to see whether those early reports of the Galaxy Tab being "8.6mm" thin are really true or not, considering the iPad 2 is 8.8mm, using our own eyes (and an iPad 2 on hand) to see who's who and what's true in the growing tablet zoo.
