Hostworks dances to the tune of $600K

Booming online dance music business inthemix has signed a three-year $600,000 hosting services contract with Hostworks (ASX:HWG) to meet the group's increasing needs for website hosting. is Australia's number one dance music website, offering comprehensive content for dance music fans nationally including news, interviews, community chat forums, streaming audio & video, competitions and event listings. With more than 150,000 unique visitors each month, the site experiences constant demand for availability, with many visitors returning to the site daily or weekly.

After a series of hosting-related issues that affected inthemix's availability, the company decided it needed a hosting provider with the infrastructure, business culture and depth of managed services to deliver the guaranteed availability and reliability it required.

Co-founder and Managing Director Andre Lackmann said the company had sought reliability in selecting a hosting provider. "We're moving into a phase of business where reliability is very important to us," he said. "We were getting to a size where, to continue to grow, we needed a business that could support our rate of growth. Hostworks made it clear that reliability wasn't going to be an issue. Hostworks also provides more than just hosting: They can offer us advice about future planning based on their experience running other critical applications."

Hostworks CEO Marty Gauvin said inthemix was a great example of businesses that were succeeding on the Web. "The key to their success is guaranteed availability so their customers can reach the site whenever they want," he said.
