Samsung 4G netbook ready to go, in the UK at least

A 4G netbook from South Korean giant Samsung will be revealed tomorrow at Mobile World Congress, the company has said. The creatively named Samsung N150 will pack LTE technology, a world first.
The Samsung 4G netbook will pack the company's new own-brand LTE chipset, Kalmia, meaning the N150 machine running it could access the internet at ten times the speed of current 3G networks.

Not many details are known about the new netbook, Samsung is of course saving a few surprises for tomorrow, but it seems the netbook will be largely irrelevant to Australia anyway, at least until 4G is unleashed. That probably won't occur any time soon.

Active Vs. Passive DWDM Solutions

An active approach to your growing optical transport network & connectivity needs.

Building dark fibre network infrastructure using WDM technology used to be considered a complex challenge that only carriers have the means to implement.

This has led many enterprises to build passive networks, which are inferior in quality and ultimately limit their future growth.

Why are passive solutions considered inferior? And what makes active solutions great?

Read more about these two solutions, and how PacketLight fits into all this.
